The Big House is a photographic project that takes a retrospective look at domestic violence. It depicts the fragments of memory that populate the artist's nightmares, to better tame "the night [that] brings us back to the memories that our days strive to forget." The black and white photographs and brief texts track the silent shadows and invisible wounds of childhood in the paternal home: objects and bodies, strange sculptures, become the almost abstract receptacle of inner turmoil, but also of breaths of consolation.
