The chairlift takes me to the summit. Since the slope isn't steep, I have to use my poles first. It must be five o'clock because I'm the last one down. It's almost night; the snow is midnight blue, and the light of the setting sun burns on the horizon. I ski gently down without needing to turn, and as I get deeper into the valley, everything gets darker and darker. Then the light from a small pole at the end of the slope catches my attention. However, as I approach it, I have to keep moving. Through the window, I see the boy I was with last year.
