Between 1991 and 1992, Issei Suda photographed compulsively with the Minox camera, one of the smallest cameras available. So small that it was frequently used for espionage activities during the war. Issei Suda turned his lens onto the intimacy of his own home, documenting with a great sense of humor the daily life he shared with his daughter, his wife, and his dog. The photographs featured in "Family Diary"—a title Suda chose himself in the 1990s—have never been published in book form.
