It was at the age of 24, during a trip to the north of the Tohoku region that Hara Yoshiichi made this series of black and white images. Still a young photography's student, he had set himself the goal during these ten days traveling to use ten rolls per day, and taking the equivalent of 360 shots, one every two minutes.
In this photographic book, we discover contrasting black and white prints that testify to the rural landscapes of the Tohoku region. On his return to Tokyo, Hara decided to submit his work to the Canon exhibition, and "Tohoky Zanzo" became his very first solo exhibition.
