Preface by Michel Poivert
Grégoire Eloy bivouacks near glaciers, walks through forests at night, and throws himself into the waters of the islands of Guernsey and Finistère, camera in hand.
The disturbing images from his various experiments and collaborations with the scientific community, brought together here for the first time, take the uneasy pulse of our wounded environment. Despite our efforts to preserve nature, we are facing melting glaciers, rising sea levels, extinction, and the emergence of new plant and animal species on land and in the ocean. It is with what anthropologists call "third nature," a hybrid form that manages to exist despite the deterioration of its subsistence conditions, that Grégoire Eloy now invites us to collaborate, in order to weave a new imaginary of the living and unprecedented connections with beings and things.
