"ARAKI 2002" by Araki Nobuyoshi is a collection of the artist’s daily photographs and portraits, his visual diary. The black and white photographs showcase poetic snapshots of his lovers, nude portraits, memories, events and encounters. The edition is exposing the nature of his approach for his work - relation and intimacy between him and his subject.
Araki Nobuyoshi’s work in contemporary photography is between art and pornography, Japan’s one of the most controversial artists. His work has been presented all over Europe, most notably his solo exhibition in London in 2005.
