CARTE BLANCHE TO ARMAND BRAC, Expressive fragments & unfinished drawings.

15.09.2021 - 09.10.2021

EXTENSION UNTIL OCTOBER 16.

Opening on 09/15/2021 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The work of the artist Armand Brac, filled with poetic and imaginary incarnations, is in line with the traces of abstract expressionism and the Cobra movement. Armand is in search of a raw form, on the edge between figuration and abstraction.

He leads an instinctive exploration of his emotions, a playful and intuitive work, where his actions and thoughts seek to unite. Armand mutilates his books, pages, photos and colored sheets into expressive fragments, which he incorporates into painted and drawn compositions, mixing different mediums (gouache, oil, acrylic, pastel, etc.).

From this tumultuous practice is born his own vocabulary, mixed with rugged, fractured forms, landscapes of stains and erasures, bare marks and unfinished lines.

French artist Armand Brac's work, full of poetic and imaginary incarnations, is in the footsteps of abstract expressionism and of the Cobra movement. Armand is in search of a raw form, on the edge between figuration and abstraction.

He carries out an instinctive exploration of his emotions, a playful and intuitive work, where his actions and thoughts seek to reunite. Armand mutilates his books, pages, photos and colored papers into expressive fragments, which he incorporates into painted and drawn compositions, mixing different mediums (gouache, oil, acrylic, pastel, etc.).

This tumultuous practice gives rise to his own vocabulary, mixed with uneven, fractured forms, landscapes of stains and erasures, bare marks and unfinished lines.
