CHAD MOORE

While American photographer Chad Moore is widely regarded as one of the most important photographers in the world today, he started out as a professional BMX rider.

Born in Florida in 1987, Chad Moore began and developed a passion for photography while traveling the United States on a BMX bike. He then became the assistant of photographer Ryan McGinley, and developed his own universe. His work is now exhibited internationally in solo and group exhibitions in institutions such as the Foam Museum in Amsterdam, the Stieglitz19 gallery in Antwerp and the Agnes b. gallery in Tokyo. He has also been the subject of five monographs.

Chad Moore is interested in youth on the margins, drawing inspiration from the extension of each unforgettable moment, blurring the line between what is a candid moment and what is a staged portrait. Through his photographs, viewers can recall and relive memories of their youth, provoking an experience similar to spiritual meditation.
