Inspired by Bob Shaw's science fiction, Hatakeyama extracted from it a premise for slowing down the speed of light: "Slow Glass". He says that "to look through a piece of glass is to see a scene from the past". The book is divided into two parts, the first one is a full prints of landscapes blurred by the trickling of raindrops on the windows of houses.
