Photo book by prominent Japanese photographer Ikko Narahara "Where Time Has Vanished 1970-1974 (Revised Edition)." A graduate of Chuo University Law School, he majored in art history at the Graduate School of Waseda University. He made a brilliant debut at the first "Human Land" exhibition in 1956, and won the "New Face" award from the Japan Photography Critics Association for "Kingdom" in 1983. A proud photographer of postwar Japan who continued to seek new possibilities for photographic expression by consistently presenting innovative works with a sublime aesthetic sense and remarkable camerawork, he was nicknamed "IKKO" abroad and received widespread praise. This book is a collection of 101 photographs taken by Narahara during his stay in the United States from 1970 to 1974. It also includes the work "The Two of Jack Lean Mask," which was praised by Arbus himself when he attended Diane Arbus's workshop in 1971, as he wanted to rethink photography from scratch. A new revised edition published in 1995 with 19 new illustrations after the first edition of 1975. In English and Japanese. Published in 1997, 2nd edition.
