This photo book is made up of ten years of photographic archives during which Donhoon Lee traveled throughout South Korea. Through calm but subtle scenes, with soft and soothing lights, the photographer takes us on a stroll through the daily life of regions little represented in the media. These photographs are thus his reinterpretation of the imagination of Korea from his childhood to the end of the 90s.
SIGAJI means “big intersections” or “main street” in Korean, but it’s an old word that we don’t use much anymore. For me, every time I hear this word, it brings back old memories.”
