WHEN THE PEACOCK DANCE - ANDREA DE FRANCISCIS
01.06.2023 - 20.07.2023
OPENING 01.06.2023 / 6 - 9 pm
In partnership with the photography platform Life Framer , we are delighted to present the work of Andrea de Franciscis. Andrea is the winner of the 8th edition of the Series Award organized by Life Framer.
Andrea de Franciscis' series is full of garish colors, flash shots and strange compositions that paint a picture of India far removed from Western clichés. These means are for him a way of expressing the dynamism of this country with its dazzling economic, social and demographic growth. On some prints, he intervenes directly with silver leaf, gold leaf or with paint.

“When the Peacock Dance brings together images that attempt to portray the frenetic madness and striking harmony I saw there. While this booming economy has lifted millions out of poverty in recent decades, it has not overcome its many contradictions. India is a surreal, noisy, hallucinatory dance of humanity pulsing with life.”
The India he shows us is deafening, luminous, saturated with colors, contrasts and movement, like this astonishing territory.

The images he shows us are deafening, luminous, saturated with color, contrast and movement, just like the country he depicts.
