We are delighted to welcome Natalie Malisse for the launch of her first book La grande maison.

La grande maison is a photographic project that takes a retrospective look at domestic violence. It puts into images the fragments of memory that populate the artist's nightmares, the better to tame "the night [that] brings us back to the memories that our days strive to forget". The black-and-white photographs and brief texts track down the mute shadows and invisible wounds of childhood in her father's house: objects and bodies, strange sculptures, become the almost abstract receptacles of inner anguish, but also breathes of consolation.

Natalie Malisse (1998) is a Belgian photographer. Her project “ La grande maison ” was selected in 2023 as part of the Circulation(s) festival.

The Big House is a photographic project that takes a retrospective look at domestic violence .
