This photobook is made up with ten years of photographic archives while Donhoon Lee travelled all over Korea. Through calm but subtle scenes, with soft and soothing lights, the photographer takes us on a stroll through the everyday life in regions that are barely represented in the medias. In this way, these photographs are his reinterpretation of his childhood’s imagination of Korea in the late 90’s.

Ce livre de photos est constitué de dix années d'archives photographiques au cours desquelles Donhoon Lee a voyagé dans toute la Corée du Sud. A travers des scènes calmes mais subtiles, aux lumières douces et apaisantes, le photographe nous emmène en balade dans le quotidien de régions peu représentées dans les médias. Ces photographies sont ainsi sa réinterprétation de l'imaginaire de la Corée de son enfance à la fin des années 90.
SIGAJI signifie « grands carrefours » ou « rue principale » en coréen, mais c'est un mot ancien que nous n'utilisons plus guère. Pour moi, chaque fois que j'entends ce mot, il me rappelle de vieux souvenirs. »
