CARTE BLANCHE - BRUNO LABARBÈRE

 

Pour la parution du premier livre de Bruno Labarbère, Mizuwari, aux éditions Hemeria, nous avons le plaisir de lui donner Carte Blanche du 23 au 27 mai 2023 pour exposer ses tirages à la galerie.

Mizuwari (littéralement, coupé à l’eau) est le récit en images noir et blanc des errances diurnes et rencontres nocturnes de Bruno Labarbère au Japon et, plus précisément, à Tokyo. Bruno restitue ici avec puissance ses émois et sensations d’alors, avec une esthétique qui n'est pas sans rappeler celle d'autres grands maîtres de la photographie nipponne.

For the publication of Bruno Labarbère's first book, Mizuwari, published by Hemeria, we are pleased to give him Carte Blanche from 23 to 27 May 2023 to exhibit his prints at the gallery.

Mizuwari (literally, cut with water) is the story in black and white images of Bruno Labarbère's daytime wanderings and nocturnal encounters in Japan, and more precisely, in Tokyo. Bruno powerfully recreates his emotions and sensations of that time, with an aesthetic not unlike that of other great masters of Japanese photography.
